Amber Rachel Levitt אמבר רחל בת מיכאל הלוי
Amber Rachel was born on 4 Tevet, 5760 (Monday 13 December 1999), and is named for her father's grandmother, Rachel Levitt. Amber was twelve on Friday,
December 30, 2011, and was Bat Mitzva the next day. What a way to spend New Year's eve! Her Torah
Portion was Parshat Vayigash and Haftorah:
Ezekiel 37:15-28, and she prepared a project as well as speeches about her Portion, delivered at the Kiddush after Shacharit, and about her project, delivered at a dinner in the evening, Motzei Shabbat.
Amber is a bookworm, and loves nothing more than to curl up with a book. Since a young age, she can read an inch-thick novel in a couple of hours. When she first claimed this at the age of seven or so, we tested her to see if she was really reading, rather than skimming, and she was! She may perhaps hold the world record!
Amber is also a gifted artist, specialising at school for her Bagrut (matriculation), and creating beautiful paintings, drawings and sculptures.
Amber loves working with children, and volunteers at the kindergarten in Eshchar, where she also babysits and teaches English to young children.
Amber was Bat Mitzva in Liverpool on (civil) new year's eve in 2011 - you can read more here.
