Meir Levitt, wife Elka (nee Charit) and Mother-in-law, Riva Leah Charit (nee Chatzkel).
Elka is top row, far right, in the picture, and her mother, Riva Leah, is next to her, second from right. A full explanation of the picture - all but two of whose subjects perished in the Shoah - is given under the memorial for sisters Hanale and Teibale Levitt, where there is a larger version of the picture.
Elka was born in Dusiat in 1913 to Meir and Riva Leah Charit. She was a grocer in Dusiat where she was married to Meir Levitt. Elka was murdered/perished in 1941 in Dusiat. Elka is remembered in a page of testimony held at Yad Vashem.

In the picture to the right, which shows family on a Picnic in the “Barovke Vald”, near Dusiat, at Rosh Hashanah 5697 (17 Septembe 1936), Meir Levitt is in the middle row, immediately right of the man holding his children, and his wife, Elka Charit, is in front of him, second from the right on the bottom row, resting her feet on the bottom rung of the ladder to the precarious timber log footbridge.
Elka's husband, Meir (known as Meer Levitas in Lithuanian) was born in Dusiat in 1898 to Ber and Rakhel Levitt. He was a merchant. Meir, who was my third cousin, was murdered in 1943 in Dusiat. Meir is remembered in a page of testimony held at Yad Vashem. His name is also found in a list of persecuted persons from the Zarasai area who were murdered in Lithuania during 1941-44.
Elka's mother, Riva Leah, was born in Dusiat in 1878 or 1895 to Chanoch and Bela Chatzkel. She was married to Meir and they lived in Dusiat, where she was a grocer. Riva Leah was murdered/perished in 1941 in Dusiat. Riva Leah is commemorated in two pages of testimony held at Yad Vashem, here and here.
